Artisan Jim Shore has merged classic Americana artwork with the characters popularized by Walt Disney with the Disney Traditions figurine line. Sleeping Beauty is one of Disney's most famous animated films, about a young princess on whom a curse of sleepfulness is laid, and Shore brings those characters to life. Princess Aurora experiences 'True Love's Kiss' in a piece that stands 9 1/4' tall. The sorceress Maleficent is recreated as a magnificent double-sided figurine that captures her 'Casting the Spell' (11' tall), showing her as the sorceress and the dragon she becomes, complete with light-up eyes. And the musical wind-up figurine, 'A Dance Is For Dreamers' (10 1/2' tall), plays the song, 'Once Upon a Dream' from the film. Each figurine is crafted from stone resin and comes in a gift box. |
