Badger Comics is owned and operated by Eric Borgh out of Milwaukee, WI. With
20 years of collecting experience, and many years more of reading and knowledge
of the comic book direct market, we are confident in providing you with the best service, fast
shipping, and the promise that you will be satisfied with your orders again and again.
While you will definitely see an abundance of superhero and science fiction books
here to start off with, part way through our opening we realized that there is a
very underserved portion of the comic and graphic novel market; specifically the
publishers and titles that fall outside the common genres of superheroes, action,
science fiction, and manga. While all of these genres mentioned are available every day
at Badger Comics, we've decided to make an extra effort to provide comic and graphic novel
reading in other areas as well; Romance, autobiographical, modern day fiction, childrens'
reading, and others.
To be honest, we love superheroes just as much as the next comic
fan, but there are many people out there not reading comic books. Most of these
people, we believe, are not reading comics because they don't realize there are books they
would actually be interested in! We feel it is our responsibility to provide the
best in comic book and graphic novel reading in ALL genres. So
browse around our shop, and if you see something interesting that you might not
normally read or even know about, give it a shot. It might turn out to be your
new favorite title.
Our preferred carrier is the US Postal Service. However we currently offer
UPS available to our domestic customers as well. International orders are
shipped through USPS Air Mail.
Our current shipping rates are quoted direct from USPS and UPS. We don't believe in
table rate shipping nor outrageous handling charges. You can be confident that what
you pay is exactly what it costs us to get your order to your door.
As an added benefit to our subscription service, most products are eligible
to also be shipped for free with your next subscription shipment. If you are a
subscription customer with unshipped items, you will see this option at the top
of the shipping page along with the estimated date of your next shipment.
We currently accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. While we do not
offer an option for check or money order on the site, for auctions, subscriptions
and most orders by email we are willing to work with you to get you the items
you want. Please contact us to
work out arrangements for this. We also accept PayPal, however please read below
if you plan on paying with it.
Yes, we accept PayPal! However, please be aware that we require all orders
paid for through PayPal to be shipped to a confirmed PayPal address. Even if you
request a different shipping address on the site we will only ship to a confrimed
address. Unfortunately, PayPal's dispute resolution system requires that sellers
ship to confirmed addresses to qualify. If you would like to have an order shipped
to an address other than one you have confirmed with PayPal, please use a different
payment method for your order.
Yes!! Gift Certificates are located under the
Merchandise section of the website. Please see our Gift Certificate FAQ for
further information on how to purchase and use them.
While you will see older back issues in our inventory, we are unfortunately
not in the business of buying and reselling comic books as collectibles. This is for
two reasons. The first is that we believe, by keeping comic books as collectibles,
we are making it difficult for new readers to come into the titles, especially with
books that are not regularly collected into trade paperbacks (or at all). All of our
books are purchased direct from the distributor to ensure that you receive the
best possible prices we can give you. Second,
comic shops typically are not able to give you as much for your books as
you would usually be able to sell them for yourself on eBay or other auction
listing services. Thus stores are rarely able to give a seller what he or she would
like to see for their books. This policy might change in the future, but currently for these reasons
we are not buying back issues
